Directed by Lawraa, “Vindhai” is a Tamil comic film released in 2015. This film revolves around two strangers who run away from their homes and happen to board the same lorry. The police suspect them to be lovers who have eloped from their homes, and they take them to the station. After that, they encounter different kinds of people coming and going from the station, and they witness the daily happenings in a police station. Eventually, both of them fall in love with each other. The movie stars Mahendran and Manisha Jith in the leading roles and many other actors in small roles including Manobala, Muthukalai, Kadhal Saravanan, Mahanidhi Shankar and Nellai Siva.
“Vindhai” is a complete entertainer where you will get to laugh on most occasions along with the blend emotions. The casting of the movie and the characterization has been done perfectly for this movie. All of them look to justify the roles that they have been put into and extract the best out of themselves. It looks to be a usual romantic comedy but with a slightly twisted plot. The different characters that visit the police station try to bring some humor into the script, and they do it successfully on most of the occasions. Overall, it’s a family entertainer and a nice option to get relaxed on a weekend.
