Neill Blomkamp has gifted people with a spectacular futuristic movie in the form of Elysium. Everyone who watches the trailer has to be spellbound by the magnificent demonstration of the future. The trailer takes us to the year 2154 where the privileged and wealthy people live on Elysium in a very prosperous manner with all the comforts that a human can ever ask. Elysium has been filled with greenery, advanced buildings, and structures. People, there are fully living rich lives, with no poverty, no war, and no sickness. On the contrary, all others are suffering on the Earth, which is greatly populated and filled with pollution. Max Da Costa from Earth is determined to go to Elysium, the most heavily guarded place in the universe. He reaches Elysium and battles it out to override their systems and save the entire human race.
The movie takes us fast forward to the year 2154. The people on Earth have been facing all sorts of miseries. They are deprived of technology and medical care. All the rich people have been reveling in great comforts in Elysium, a utopia. They are blessed with excellent medical facilities with a zero disease presence. Max who works at a factory near Los Angeles gets hit by a high dose of radiation during an accident in a chamber. In dire need for a cure, he and his friend Julio meet a human smuggler Spider, to help him reach Elysium. Spider agrees to it and asks some financial data from Carlyle, the person who designed Elysium. Max attacks Carlyle and uploads the data into his brain.
Spider realizes that the software will help the Earth’s citizens to live in Elysium. After ensuing struggles and hardships, Max and Spider succeed in uploading the software into Elysium’s core, though it meant Max’s eventual end. The film ranked number one on its opening day in terms of box office collections. Matt Damon gives a power-packed performance to bring energy to his role. This official trailer has got 9,072,944 views and has caught the attention of sci-fi movie enthusiasts.
