Tollywood has always embraced horror movies, and the film-makers are also cashing in on the movie goer’s ardent interest in such movies. Thulasidalam is a horror movie that has hit the screens recently. Let’s see whether the movie manages to give  goosebumps to the audience.

Nischal Deva goes to Las  Vegas to have a better understanding of his girlfriend Vandana Gupta. Nishcal is of the staunch opinion that there is no such entity as ghosts. But this is not the case with his roommate who has an aversion towards ghosts. And by now you would have understood what happens next. The roommate asks Nischal to be all alone in the graveyard for a night. This is accepted by Nischal. Well, Nischal definitely emerges a winner in the challenge. But as if  to compensate for it, certain mystical things  start taking place in Nischal’s life after the event. And to aggravate the situation, a girl follows Nischal. And here comes the role of R P Patnaik, who is a doctor. Why is it that Nischal is the victim of these activities? Watch the movie to unravel this question.

Star Performances

Nischal Deva is debuting with Thulasidalam and has given an impressive performance, given that he is a newcomer. Vandana is ravishing and is good in giving her expressions. R P Patnaik has a brief yet significant role, and he does an average job. The artist who essayed Nischal’s friend has done a convincing job. Duvvasi Mohan too has done a good job.

Director R P Patnaik has tried his hand in production, direction and acting. But he has not executed the movie in a commendable manner.

What’s there?

The total duration, which is quite short, is definitely one of the highlights of the movie. The audiences would surely not be patient if the movie had stretched more.

What’s not there?

  • The screenplay lacks the nerve of such horror movies.
  • Horror movies rely mainly on the background score, but it is pitiably poor in this movie.
  • The songs also seem unwanted.
  • The VFX is not up to the mark.

Other than the star performances, the movie is weak in other aspects.
