Plot
The plot depicts political rivalry between the two dominant castes of Andhra Pradesh, namely Reddy and Kamma at the onset of 2019 Legislative Assembly election. The ruling party of a state loses the elections, which leads to a lot of political speculation and some murders for which the verdict the CM stands as the accused by the media & others. While the young Chief Minister also tries to defame the ex-chief minister and his son, there are others try to take advantage of the situation. The opposition leader hatches a conspiracy to bring down the Reddy government. However, he gets murdered in Vijayawada in broad daylight. Who is behind the murder? What might happen to the government? Can political conspiracies weaken the CM? We will find answers to these and other questions in the second half.
Star Performance
The only good thing about the movie is that Ram Gopal Varma succeeded in casting actors who resemble the actual figures. He also kept their names slightly closer to their real names. Ajmal Amir is suited for the character Jagan Mohan Reddy but, he doesn’t have much to perform other than one assembly scene. The rest of the characters were conveyors of Ram Gopal Varma’s propaganda. Ali played the role of the speaker Pammineni, he was the only prominent actor of the movie excluding the lead male character. Brahmanandam did the role of Rambabu which was disappointingly inferior among all the films he did so far. The cameo of Sakshi Anchor Swapna and Kathi Mahesh was clueless.
Analysis
This film does not go to the extremes of doing anything. That man like Ram Gopal Varma created an explosive storyline whole of political moguls and controversially drawn characters. Characters do not take it seriously can be easily seen from here, since the second half is full of childish ideas. Such as where a man who strikingly resembles KA Paul, is chased by some rowdies and only when they are close to attacking him, he gets saved by the lackey of the Prime Minister. Such as that item song, which might be cheap and at the same time uninteresting. For example, like the climax of KA Paul who dreams of a scenario in which he just became the CM. The first half is a waste of money. The second half turns into a fair. Therefore, any essence has to be in the trailer. If all one has to present in the second half is absurd drama, then why tease the audience with a trailer?
In other words, this film appears to be a narration of two street rowdies, Obul Reddy and Gangaveeti Bhavani caught unawares of the plans of Babu and Reddy. Here the CM and Opposition leader are almost irrelevant, and they appear only better in the second half.

Verdict
It is safe to note here that ‘Kamma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Reddlu’ is a directionless and aimless movie. Ram Gopal Varma has taken few real incidents and has mixed it up with an additional fiction story and climax which does not fit in. Some satirical comedy featuring a few leaders evokes laugh but the lack of gripping episode and needed political drama is completely missing in this movie, making it a boring and silly picture.
