Plot
Singaravelan’s mother delivered him while attending the political rally of Rayappan. Singaravelan aspires to be a politician while growing. He wants to get close to Rayappan, overtaking Rayappan’s close aide, Mangalam, a senior politician. While he is getting closer to Rayappan, he feels that he is not on the right side. He finds that Rayappan tries to evacuate people in Singaravelan’s area for a multi-crore project. His good side wakes up, and he wants to stop this project and save the people from getting evacuated from the area. Was he successful? The rest of the story deals with it.
Star Performance
Vijay Sethupathi and Parthiepan join again after Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Both of them have given commendable performances. Raashi Khanna and Manjima have got meaty roles, and they excelled in it. Bagavathi Perumal is good as usual with his facial expressions. Sathyaraj impresses in his cameo.
Analysis
The story is not new but comes with some traces of political satirical comedy films, yet it is scripted finely. The narration is okayish, and the characters are finely designed. Right stars are picked, and everyone is good in their respective roles. Although the story goes interestingly, it turns predictable soon. The music and cinematography are neat and impressive. The production values are quite good.

Usually, Vijay Sethupathi movies are good with some message, which also falls in the same category. The political satire comes with favorite stars and commendable performances. With a good script, narration, performance, BGM, and visuals, Tughlaq Durbar is watchable once!
