Plot
The plot is about the money transaction between two biggies. A third party intrudes between them and grab the money. Who is the third party and why do they loot the money? Did the people who involved in the money transaction found out the lost money? Watch the movie in the theaters.
Star Performance
Mime Gopi plays a politician and he has done the job perfectly. Sathya, the producer cum actor, has also done justice to his role. But, Ajay Ghosh and John Vijay roles might have been characterized better. John Vijay’s slang creates irritation. Although Ajay plays well, his part needs some changes.
Analysis
Although the director has brought in a good script and has directed well, some of the investigation scenes in the film seems to have a shade of “Visaaranai.” However, the film gives an okayish feel. John Vijay could have chosen a different role instead of picking up monotonous roles and speaking the same slang in almost all his films.

Verdict
If the minor mistakes in the screenplay and the technical side had been rectified, the film might have been appreciated well. However, Thappu Thanda is worth watching once.
