Plot
Vasu believes that no relationship is permanent. He firmly trusts that everyone will change their mind depending on the situation. He meets Manu in a musical concert. After a few meetings, Manu starts falling for him. Though Vasu avoids it initially, he gradually starts falling for her. Soon after her family finds out about her relationship with Vasu, they cut all their ties. However, Manu announces her pregnancy to Vasu, who suggests her to abort the child, but Manu doesn’t prefer it. The rest of the story follows their lives.
Star Performance
Rio Raj’s expressions are quite decent. He finely brings the inner turmoil in his expressions. Gopika Ramesh’s performance is neat. Rio and Gopika’s chemistry is impressive. The rest of the actors have done what was asked.
Analysis
The story has nothing different from the usual rom-com movies. The characters are not well-written. The reason why Vasu denies of becoming a father doesn’t look valid. His reason is too much promoted, which is not worthy. How did Manu’s strict father change his mind at the last second? No explanations! Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music is soothing. He also appears in a cameo role. The comedy scenes didn’t impress much.

The film has usual relationships, broken ties, and united families. For the neat performances of the leads and their warm chemistry, Sweetheart is watchable once! Â
