Plot
Kalai comes from a middle-class family background. He wishes to become an actor from an early age. While he was trying to enter the cinema, he met with an accident. Was he able to enter the film industry? Without any cinema background, how he tries to join the film industry and all the ups and downs and faces from the rest of the story.
Star Performance
Kavin performs extraordinarily well and proves him to be a hero material. He excelled in dance movements, action sequences, and acting performances. His dialogue delivery is good. Preity has done her role extremely well. Lal is the biggest plus in the film. His performance is admirable as ever and he shines well as a father. Geetha Kailasam has done her part well and gelled well in her character.
Analysis
The story is simple and the screenplay is impressive. The dialogues are astonishing; a good work by Elan. The first half of the film is very impressive and gives a wholesome first half. Fights, emotional scenes and motivational dialogues form the first half, making it an interesting watch. The interval block is made excellently well and creates a good opinion on the director. The second half has some good scenes and an interesting single-stretch climax. Yuvan Shankar Raja excels with his songs and music, placing a crown on Star. The cinematography and the editing are worth mentioning. All the roles are developed well, except the one given for Aditi Pohankar. Lal’s character is so well and everyone loves to have a motivational dad like him. The production values are good and the film is technically sound.

Verdict
Though there are a few errors in the film, the stars’ performances and the excellent execution make the Star, a real star. A promising future is waiting for Kavin!
