Gargi is a teacher who greatly respects and loves her dad. He is a security guard. When their lives were smoother, Gargi was shocked to hear about the sexual abuse accusation against her father. As an abuse survivor, she trusts her father to the core and decides to fight for him. She is devastated to hear her lawyer withdrawing from the case. Without no further option, she has to move with another lawyer, who has stammering. Will Gargi get her father out of the case? The rest of the film deals with that!
Sai Pallavi lived in the role. Her trust and love for her father are wonderful, and she portrayed the role fantastically. Kaali Venkat has done an excellent job. He has done several roles, and this one will definitely speak about his performance. RS Sivaji’s expressions are neat, and he fits well in the role. Kavithalaya Krishnan and Livingston have done their parts well.
It is terrific writing from Gautham and Hariharan. They have designed the characters well, except for the journalist role played by Aishwarya Lekshmi. Her role is not sharply penned. The casting team should be appreciated for their excellence in picking up the stars. Sai Pallavi’s one of the best performances are showcased in Gargi. The director has got his work done perfectly from the stars. The visuals are stunning, and the editing is incredible. The BGM by Govind Vasantha is neat. The film has good production values.
What’s Not There?
This is a wonderfully scripted and executed film with a set of incredible artists. If you are a fan of Sai Pallavi’s performances, you’ll definitely like it. Though you are not her fan, this film is worth watching, once!
