SI Aravind Karunakaran is on a long leave. After three years, he finds that a case he had been dealing with is still pending. Aravind’s brother Ajith Karunakaran was also a cop, and he was the role model for Aravind to join the police department. The politicians pressured Ajith to solve a murder case within a short period. So, the investigative team drags an innocent into the case. As Aravind doesn’t like what his brother does, he stays away from his brother and takes a long leave from his career. Later, he takes the initiative to find out the culprit. Was he able to do that? Who were all involved in this? The rest of the film deals with this.
DQ has done an excellent job. His body language and expressions are fantastic. Manoj K Jayan is so natural, and he fits in the role well. Diana Penty didn’t have any meaty role, and she is given a template character.
In recent days, cop thrillers have been preferred much by the audience and the filmmakers. Bobby and Sanjay penned a neat story, and Rosshan has executed it well. The cinematography and editing are perfect. The BGM gels well with the story. A few scenes make us feel that it should have been shot better, especially those towards the climax.
What’s Not There?
The film showcases how the system is used for the convenience of the people in the higher position. With the performance of the leads, the film makes us have a good watch!
