Plot

The film revolves around Ajith and Sara. Sara Lopez is a young and cheerful girl who lives with her father and mother. Her father runs a guest house named Freddy’s Paradise in the backwaters of Alappuzha. Ajith Menon, who is an ex-sailor, comes to stay at Freddy Paradise. He came here in order to build his dream sailboat, which he saw at a restaurant named Mushroom.

Ajith falls in love with Sara on their first encounter. But, he gets to know that Sara’s father has already fixed her wedding with David, a rich Indian-European businessman.

What will Ajith do now? Will he convince Sara’s father? Will this love story remain incomplete? Will Ajith be successful in building his dream sailboat?

Star Performance

Shine Tom Chacko, who played the role of Ajith Menon, perfectly executed his part. He depicts all the characteristics of a sailor in this film. He played his role with full emotions.

Suraj Venjarammood is given more importance in this film. He played the role of Thankachan, and his performance is fantastic. He shows his own romance elements and makes the film interesting.

Mythili, who played the role of Sara Freddy Lopez, gave an outstanding performance. She looks very childish and beautiful on the screen. The rest of the cast executed their part as required.

Analysis

The film will make you laugh and emotional as well. It is set in the background of the 2018 Kerala floods and will give you a feeling of real Kerala. The ending of the film is suspenseful.

The attractive and romantic atmosphere is a plus point for this film. The camera work by Joman Thomas is stunning. He brilliantly captures the natural beauty of Kerala, which is attractive to the viewers. The music by Bijibal is another strength of this film. His aesthetic music adds a realistic feel to this film.

However, the film suffers from a minor fault. The film takes too much in explaining the main concept, and because of this, the second half is very fast-paced. The story rushes in the end. Overall, Oru Kaatil Oru Oaykappal is a beautiful film. Along with a love story, it shows the amazing scenic beauty of Alappuzha.

All in all, Oru Kaatil Oru Paykappal is an interesting film. The love story gets messed up due to more focus on background decorations. But it does have much effect on the film. It is an entertaining film that portrays a beautiful story of romance, faith, and survival. It is a must-watch film. Watch it with your family.
