Plot

Four film school students and their teacher go on a location hunting trip due to a project. They find a perfect location that gives a haunting ambiance. But they meet a peculiar man with a weird personality and attitude who is studying the parapsychology world. Students get into his world of Ouija boards and release an unexpected entity. The students began to witness some supernatural activities, which at first were brushed off as pranks or gimmicks but later realized that a true spirit was present among them. They experience many inexpressible situations due to the appearance of this spirit. Multiple events unfold into a horrifying and dangerous experience.

Star Performance

Bharath Srinivasan and Ajmal Ameer played the lead role with brilliance by capturing their characterizations. Lal put effort into portraying his character and the newcomer Sneha Ajith also provides a decent portrayal. Lekha Prajapathi nailed her performance as well. Other supporting actors also carried their roles well enough.

Analysis

The story revolves around a group of people who decide to stay in a haunted place to shoot their film but experience paranormal activities and figure out the truth behind them. The movie is somewhat influenced by an older horror Malayalam movie, Manichitrathi but in a rebranded version. The film has spectacular acting performances and background scores to keep the audience engaged. The directorial execution worked well for the movie. The beginning had many jump scares and ghost appearances though it gradually turned into thrilling aspects with a brilliant backstory. Even though it fails to execute the horrifying scenes, it still sustains enough to build an ominous atmosphere that might hold the attention and immerse throughout the watch.
