Plot
Jamal, an ever-smiling man, sells food in a pushcart. He is a kind-hearted man who leads a simple life without hurting others. When Jamal faces injustice in the society and has no support, how his rise against injustice creates an impact is what the film is about.
Star Performance
Indrans portrayal of Jamal is impressive. Jasnya Jayadeesh plays Indrans’ daughter. Though her screen presence is less, she makes the audience notice her with a good performance. Siddique, Ashokan, Prayaga, Mallika, and Sona are convincing with the given roles.
Analysis
The writing by Subhash is quite decent and the director narrated the story with some complications, well. Jamal’s character is designed well. His transformation is shown well, from a soft-natured pushcart vendor to a man who stands against injustice. The dramatic moments are made well and make the audience sit straight. Many characters are involved and some actors are given solid roles and some have received a minimum screen time. The cinematography and editing departments have done their jobs well. The music composition is above average.

The film slips with its shortcomings, yet with the performances and the transformation scene, the director managed to keep the audience engaged to an extent. Jamalinte Punchiri is watchable once!
