Plot
Shiva is a young boy who belongs to a particular community living with her mother in a forest. They survive by hunting and have built a good society there. The forest is an adequate land for development, that most people prefer to get.
Once Shiva encounters some police officers who are assaulting a woman in the forest, he helps her escape by fighting those officers. After getting beaten by him, those officers want to get revenge on him. Those officers deceive the people of those communities influence them to shift somewhere else, and forcefully take them to a new location, where they are forced to live in a camp.
Shiva and his friends go to a city to seek jobs and earn money. But they fail in getting any, they decide to steal money and valuables from the people in the town. Gradually they started looting people in the town and the police were notified, and they started finding the robbers across the town.
Once Shiva goes to a fair and falls in love after seeing a girl named Nandini, she is the daughter of a priest and is a shopkeeper. He starts meeting her everyday and gives her many things as gifts which he steals from others, Shiva makes her believe that he is a good and wealthy man, they promise to marry each other. After some time police find out about Shiva and Nandini’s relationship and take her under custody. What will happen next? Will they get separated? Or will Shiva accept his crimes? The film covers this.
Star performance
Vinod Prabhakar’s role is filled with intense action and drama. He does an outstanding job, of engaging his audience with his unique action scenes and fighting styles. Chaitra Reddy excelled in her role and is fascinating, her expressions and dialogue delivery are amazing and engaging. Om Prakash Rao, Thriller Manju, Rajesh Nataranga, and Deepak Shetty are all remarkable in their roles, everybody has given their perfect shots and did an exceptional job.
Analysis
Rugged is an action and drama film, full of romance, the director has worked well in showcasing this film, the film neatly showcases the reality of many communities that get exploited by some high-rankers in the country. The screenwriting and screenplay of the film are engaging and appreciable. The action scenes and stunts performed by Vinod Prabhakar are commendable and the dialogue delivery of the cast is good. The music is given by Abhiman Roy is superb, and engaging. The film has balanced the romance and action very well in its screenwriting.

The action and story capture the attention of the audience. the story highlights the love of a woman, for her partner, and how a man is bound in his responsibilities of providing for his family.
