“ Orange” is scripted and directed by Prashant Raj. Golden Star “ Ganesh” and Priya Anand play the lead roles. Sadhu Kokila, Rangayana Raghu, Dev Gill, Padmaja Rao and “ Avinash” are also in the star cast. Thaman composed the songs and the BGM.
Santhosh, a youngster, was suspected by police for attempting to loot the bank. He lands in prison at the end of the case. After his prison term gets over, he returns to his place in the train. During the journey, he meets Radha, the daughter of Hulli Veeraiah. Radha came out of her home, as her father forces her to get married. But, Radha is in love with Prashanth. Radha has a golden bracelet, which is to be meant for her husband. She leaves the bracelet there and continues her journey. But, Santhosh, who finds it decided to return it to her family and from the info he gathered, he goes to Radha’s house. As he was carrying the bracelet, Radha’s family wrongly assumes Santhosh as Prashanth. Meanwhile, Radha returns home and finds her family mingling with Santhosh. This irks her and she wants him to get out soon. At the same time Narasimha Nayaka, the rival of Hulli Veeraiah troubles him. Santhosh saves him from Narasimha Nayaka and receives appreciation from the family. Meanwhile, Prashanth visits Radha. What happens next? Did Narasimha Nayaka take revenge? Whom did Radha marry? Ganesh fits in the role perfectly and wins the hearts of his fans. Priya did her job well. Avinash, Dev Gill and the rest of the cast have done justice to their roles.
Prashant has got a right script for Ganesh and Ganesh fit in the role superbly. Characterization is neat and the screenplay is good, but with minor flaws here and there. Thaman’s music is excellent. The production and the technical values are neat.
What’s Not There?
Orange is a good film with the right proportion of romance, comedy, sentiment and action to impress the audiences. Orange – Tasty!
