Even nowadays certain people are being ignored due to their immature behavior. Murari, The Mad Gentleman, deals with these superstitious beliefs, especially in villages.

Sanjay Singh, who plays the titular role, is somewhat a chatterbox and causes chaos in his village. This literally irritates the villagers, and they regard him as a local nuisance. What do the villagers do to get rid of this habit of Sanjay Singh? Watch the movie to find out.

Star Performances

Sanjay Singh plays the role of Murari. He has done his role with utter conviction.

Asrani has been active in the entertainment field for over five decades and has acted in Hindi and Marathi films. He has even directed films. He was last seen in Mastizaade, a sex comedy film. But though he has given his best in this film the execution of the movie plays spoilsport.

Nataliya Iliyana, a foreigner, plays the love interest of Sanjay.

What’s there?

  • The movie has tried to deliver a hard-hitting social message.
  • Sometimes during its course the movie is laced with interesting comedy scenes.
  • It is evident that the director Suzad Iqbal Khan has been meticulous in showcasing the details. However, it works only in bits and pieces.

What’s no there?

  • This film is definitely one of the craziest ones that Bollywood has ever produced.
  • The movie tests the audience’s patience. The way the villagers are treating Sanjay as a local threat in a repeated fashion will surely annoy the audience at some point.
  • One wonders why the romance element is added to the movie. It is good where the intention of the movie is commendable but the question of the day is why the filmmakers invariably resort to romance even in such films?
  • The dialogues are not good enough.

Watch Murari only if you have some free time to spare in a day.
