Plot
Some people are mysteriously dropping dead in Devagiri, where a particular road is considered haunted. A ‘ghostbuster’ gang of YouTubers is out to solve the mystery. However, will they solve the mystery, or is the hunter going to be ‘the hunted’?
Star Performances
Vasanth Vishnu is the star performer of the film. He has managed to create a screenplay that is scaring, yet gripping and thrilling in equal parts. His skilful direction only makes this film better and better.
The acting performances by the ensemble cast is also equally good. From Vasanth Vishnu to Vaijanath Biradar, everyone has done complete justice to their respective roles.
Analysis
A mysterious place with a dark secret. A group of people out to remove the ‘superstitions’. The journey takes a turn for the worse, and every member of the group is now trying their best to somehow survive this carnage. Will they make it?
In case you thought nothing could come out of such a ‘done to death’ plotline, Vasanth Vishnu is out there to prove everyone wrong. Nobody could predict that this film, which looks like a horror thriller, can be such a good suspense drama. However, Vasanth Vishnu, with his skillful direction, had something else in mind.
The film has a decent runtime, that doesn’t stretch endlessly. The narrative begins on a note that is slightly silly but takes a turn for the better. Most of the viewers, who feel a bit put off by the beginning, are soon invested in this film, with the twists and turns intriguing the audience.
The visuals are nothing out of the blue, but the slick editing by Amith Jawalkar makes it interesting. Good crime thrillers in Indian cinema are as rare as diamonds in a coal mine. However, Vasanth Vishnu tries his best to make up for it, using modern technology and a good storyline to give a great experience. The acting by the ensemble cast is also superb. Each actor has done complete justice to their respective roles.

‘Kappu Bilupina Naduve’ initially looks like another horror thriller with no substance. However, with each passing frame, Vasanth Vishnu proves us wrong with an engaging screenplay, and some brilliant performances withstanding. Despite handling multiple departments, Vasanth Vishnu excels in almost all of them. You must give this thriller a try!
