Plot: The story is about an innocent guy, Ganapa (Anekal Santosh) who ends up accidently saving the life of underworld don Jayanna. Jayanna, in the absence of his only son Arun, appoints Ganapa and soon he becomes one of his best men. Arun is in jail, who is guilty for murdering a police officer. With passing time, Ganapa becomes stronger in the underworld. One day, Bindu (Priyanka) loses her phone, and Ganapa discovers it. To return the phone, they start talking on the phone. Although they never met but fell in love., When the love starts blooming, Arun is set free from jail. He then tells Ganapa that he was found guilty because of a girl. The rest of the story unfolds the suspense that whether that girl is Bindu or not? What will happen to Ganapa and Bindu's love story?
Analysis: Prabhu Srinivas's flick is kept simple, and he has directed and narrated it well. He has spent considerable time to build the lead characters of the film. But the script resembles Ram Gopal Verma's '

' specially the climax. Rest of the story is not as appealing as Satya was. Like other movies based on the underworld, 'Ganapa' too glorifies the underworld and portrayed police as underdogs. Also one may end up feeling irritated of the manner in which Ganapa and Bindu fell in love, just by talking on the phone. The background score of the movie fails to impress, and the songs are not in synchronization with the story. Stunts are amazing and have been magnificently choreographed. Editing is average, but the cinematography is good. If we talk about the cast, gray characters rule the flick.
Star Performances: Anekal Santosh and Petrol Prasanna have got most of the screen space, and they had not let it down and carried their characters well. Stunt sequences of Anekal are impactful. Priyanka debuts with this film, and she also impresses although one may feel that she deserved much more than she has received regarding screen space. She is just a showpiece throughout. All the goons have added to the glorifying underworld. But one won't be satisfied with the so simple story of goons without any major twists and turns.
What's there ????
1. Action packed scenes and climax make it a watch.
2. Santosh has beautifully carried the role of Ganapa. He has researched his character well.
3. The cinematography is impressive and stunts portrays amazing choreography.
What's not there ????
1. The story is a simple underworld story without any major twists which bores the audience.
2. Music of the flick also adds to the casualties as they don't go with the flow of the movie.
3. Leading lady's character has not been well built and hence the debutant fails to leave an impact on the mind of the audience.
Verdict: Spend time to watch 'Ganapa' only if you are a fan of action and films related to the underworld, else it doesn't offer much.
