Plot

Toolsidas is a snooker player, and his son is Midi. He dedicates his victory to his son and is proud of this. He hoped to win the five-time winner, Jimmy Tandon and promised his son that he would get the trophy home. Unfortunately, he couldn’t beat Jimmy Tandon. The father-son duo couldn’t bear this defeat. Yet, Midi decides to master himself in the game to fulfill his dad’s dream of winning Jimmy. As he is under 16, the club where his dad played didn’t allow him, and hence he searched for the right club and mentor. Soon, he meets Mohammed Salam, an ex-snooker champion. Will Salam mentor Midi and help him to fulfill his dreams? The rest of the film deals with it.

Star Performance

Sanjay Dutt is perfect as a coach, and his dialogues are superb. Varun Buddhadev impresses the audience with his natural performance. Rajiv Kapoor is fantastic as a player and a father. Dalip Tahil is neat with his expressions.

Analysis

The film comes with a neat screenplay in the first half. The first half is exciting and racy. The film loses its pace in the second half. However, the team manages to attract the audience with some sensitive scenes. The movie has no mass scenes, punches, and heroic elements. Without this, it impressed the audience with the story and performances. The songs and the BGM are good, especially Udd Chala is impressive.
