Plot

Dr. Ray is a professor cum lawyer with his own set of ideals. He aims for a world free of hatred. He convinces some youngsters to take part in his project against communalism. However, the politicians, as well as their religious advisors, feel threatened by his ideals and aim to wreak havoc. Will Dr. Ray succeed against all odds?

Star Performances

The only things good about this movie are the performances of Arya Babbar, Shaji Chaudhary, and Ananth Mahadevan.

Analysis

The concept of universal brotherhood and communal harmony is something everyone resonates with. Some even dream about the great idea of 'One world, One Religion.' However, Praveen Hingonia took this idea to a whole new level with 'The Creator Sarjanhar.'

It seems like Praveen Hingonia read a couple of philosophers, got influenced by them, and went on to create this film. The concept is not bad, but the execution is more fake than the wig used by the lead protagonist!

This is one of those films that will offend everybody, but not for its subject. The very thought of implementing a utopian idea in such a ludicrous fashion will make you wonder if this is all for real. Hingonia's dialogues evoke no emotion at all; they are bland and soulless.

The entertainment quotient, if any, is missing from this film. Even some of the most melodramatic soap operas have a better script than this film. The technical aspects of this movie are anything but impressive.

As the lead, Dayanand Shetty aimed to be different. However, his appearance, as well as his character, has little to offer. The ensemble cast of the youngsters also does not have much to do. If a movie has Arya Babbar among the best actors, then either the movie is too good or the film is so bad that even Arya's performance seems genuine. Unfortunately, 'The Creator' resembles more of the latter.

Verdict

'The Creator Sarjanhar' is a movie that was flawed from the beginning. Despite the efforts of some of the actors, the film is far from a memorable experience. It is best left forgotten.
