Plot:
A girl named Sanam becomes suspicious of her neighbors as she witnesses some strange things in them. However, no one believes Sanam and all her close ones suspect her.
Analysis:
Neighbours is a horror movie which is directed and written by the famous Ramsay franchise. They are a brand when it comes to horror movies, and they try to come up with something new every time. This time, they have dealt with the theme of vampires, and this is probably the first time Indian Cinema has worked on the theme of bloodsucking vampires.
Star Performances:
All the actors in the movie are not known and are all new faces. However, they are not able to bring their magic on screen and they look very forced and artificial. It kind of gets annoying at times to sit and watch the whole movie when the actors do such horrible job. When the main leads of the movie are pathetic, we don't really expect the supporting cast to do any good for the movie either which is exactly what has happened with the movie.
What you may like:
The one thing good and exciting about the movie is that it is made under the banner of Ramsay's which is a brand in itself especially when we talk about Horror movies in India.
What you may dislike:
● The story of the movie could've been very good especially because it was the first attempt at vampire flicks in Bollywood but it just fell flat.
● Cinematography of the movie was way too bad, and so was the VFX. The screenplay of the film wasn't any good either.
● The movie failed regarding not just its actors but also its music which was also not good.
Verdict:
This movie is a definite skip.
