PLOT:

The story revolves around an orphaned boy, Kailash (Sammir Datani) who has been taken to jail during a roundup but for no fault of his, offered a compromise by Inspector Rathore ( Om Puri Om Rajesh Puri is one of the widely noted senior a >> Read More... ) to work as a spy, join crime rings and to pass on the information.

Incidentally, Pasha senses a loophole and torments Inspector Rathore to death in trying to find out the same. However, the mob isn’t involved in just smuggling but something bigger and it seems the intelligence department is sold out to them too. In the due course, Rahman is killed leaving Kailash all alone entwined in a nerve-racking mess.

STAR PERFORMANCES

Sammir Datani has indulged himself in his character which is well reflected in his performance. He shines even with such talented, experienced Sushanth Singh, Alok Nath, and Om Puri.

Om Puri exhibits his caliber beautifully as usual.

ANALYSIS:

The director handled the story beautifully; the possible let down is because of the writing. The dialogues have a natural flow throughout the movie. The climax seems like a rushed job. The overall cinematography is good.

WHAT’S THERE?

The movie gives a good insight into how intelligence department as well as how mobs work.
Background music is worthy of a mention which is a major plus point in the movie.

VERDICT:

Mukhbiir is a well versed and well-researched film. The cinematography is decent. Mukhbiir being a thriller has done justice. Apparently Mani Shankar had arranged a night in the jail and also an up-close visit to the underworld life for Sameer Dattani to get into vibe needed for his role.Instead of counting on some no-brainer movie, watch this engrossing intense crime thriller which will seriously get you thinking on a dull day.
