Karan Nath is a popular model, Hindi film actor and producer. He was born on May 24, 1980, to Riku Rakesh Nath, a producer and the secretary of the top Bollywood stars. He took an acting course in Acting Institute and was a trained dancer by Shaimak Davar.
He studied at Mithibai College. Karan is also passionate in tennis and used to play at the National Level. He never thought that he will enter the field of acting until he received modeling offers. He started his film journey as a child artist in the Hindi science fiction superhero film, Mr. India in the year 1987, where he played as an orphan.
He was acclaimed and earned recognition by his performance in his debut film, Paagalpan in the year 2001, where he played the main lead role, opposite Aarti Agarwal. The film flopped but his brilliant performance received appreciation, especially his looks and his ability to dance well caught the attention of the many viewers.
In the following year, he acted in the romantic action film, Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa, along with
. In 2003, he made two film releases; one is the Bollywood horror-thriller film, Ssshhh…, from which he starred alongside
and Tanisha while the other one is the multi-starrer Indian war film, LOC Kargil, which was written, produced and helmed by J. P. Dutta.
He was later seen in the Bollywood film, Tum – A Dangerous Obsession, which flopped at the box office. Karan took a sabbatical and returned to acting in Ram Gopal Varma’s Zabardast, along with
. He was also seen in Deepak Tijori’s Kayanaat, and he was last seen in the Bollywood film, Tera Kya Hoga Johnny in the year 2009.
In 2014, he made a comeback in the film, Guns of Banaras, which stars
, Abhimanyu Singh Zarina Wahab,
and more. This film was produced under his home production. Karan was also the associate producer of the 1997 romantic Hindi film, Mohabbat, which stars
, Akshay Khanna and
and the 1993 Bollywood film of Lawrence D’Souza entitled Dil Tera Aashiq, which stared Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan in the lead roles.
