“Dil Toh Deewana Hai” is directed by Raja Bundela and co-produced by Chandra Shekhar Bali and Ganesh Sagar. The Movie is a romantic comedy and is a debutant movie of Aamir Khan’s step- brother Hyder Khan. Saladin, a South Indian actress, has worked opposite Hyder Khan in this movie. Former Miss Asia Pacific 1970, Zeenat Aman is in a lead role in the film, wich is an asset to the film. The film is presented under the banner of DS productions and is running in theatres from June 24, 2016.
Plot: Dil to Deewana Hai is a love story amongst Raja (Hyder Khan) and Anamika (Sadha). The character Raja seems to be a bit reserved and hardly socialises with girls. He is raised by his mother (Zeenat Aman ) alone and is extremely devoted to her. But his life takes a new spiral when he meets Anamika and falls deeply in love with her. Though Anamika is completely contrary to Raja’s behaviour and personality, that’s how love is, blind! But not every love tale has a happy ending. Since both Raja and Anamika belong to entirely dissimilar backgrounds, it’s nearly impossible for the love -birds to live a blissful and composed life together.
Analysis: Hyder Khan has made his debut through a romantic comedy but hasn’t realised that this Honour is very timeworn and only an entirely new concept can attract viewers or would be a huge failure. The acting is very lurid, and cinematography is very ostentatious, the concept and story are decayed. It seems like the movie has bits and pieces of every hit and iconic Bollywood love story like DDLJ and Jab we Met.
The movie does not have a modicum of zeal or passion. Even in the second-half the picture continues with dullness and monotony and provides no reason for the viewers to stay for the climax. In the end, this proclaimed, “love story” neither reveals out the love nor the story.
Star performance: Aamir Khan’s step -brother Hyder Khan is not even close to the talent of the legendary actor. Zeenat Aman justifies her role as a mother. The film also casts the veteran actor Raj Babbar, who is a versatile artist, upholds the position of a legend. Sadha has acted just fine, but the chemistry between the two lead actors Hyder and Sadha appears to be a mislay.
2. Aamir Khan’s step brother Hyder Khan makes his debut though this movie which is a fair enough reason to watch this film.
3. Zeenat Aman and Raj Babar’s acting is flawless and makes this movie a must watch.
What’s not there?
1. The cinematography is very gaudy, and the script is hackneyed.
2. The lead actors lack talent and chemistry.
3. Screenplay and dialogues are fusty.
Verdict: The movie renders ancient hypothesis and script and lacks entertainment.
