Arun Bakshi is an Indian TV actor and film actor. He was born in Ludhiana, Punjab and grew up in his very own home town. He studied in Arya College, Ludhiana and graduated from there. After graduation, he worked in the Punjab Agricultural University for a short period of time. Later, Bakshi shifted to Mumbai and there, he started his acting career in the year 1981. First he got small roles in TV serials and he worked in the small screen for a while. In the same year Bakshi got a role in a Hindi film "Sazaye Maut", a thriller suspense movie, he played some small role. Bakshi is popular for his role as Dhristadyumna in BR Chopra's movie, Mahabharat.
He also worked in Bollywood movies like Guru and Masoom. Arun Bakshi is also a play back singer; he first started his singing career with the Hindi movie “Balwaan”. In 2010 Bakshi created his own music album "Ashok Chakra: A tribute to real heroes", with a pet name Aroon Bakshi. He has acted in varieties of Hindi films and sang numerous songs. He played as small characters in more than 100 films and has sung songs as play back singer, around 300 songs. He is an aged man now, but he is still in acting field and acting is the only profession, where an actor never gets retired.
