Plot: This movie is essentially a documentary that traces the era of the musical band named The Doors and their highs and lows in their relationship and career.
What you may like:
1. This documentary is primarily filled with all sorts of archival footage that there is regarding the sensational music band of the 60s and 70s, The Doors. It has all the never before seen historical evidences that the makers could catch hold of and this makes it exquisite.
2. It is immensely impressive to be able to see exactly what goes into making music possible. The showcasing of the various processes of producing albums was so fascinating and incredible.
3. The makers have put a lot of efforts in researching the various archives and then compiling them into some really marvelous piece of work. This remarkable compilation has made the documentary so much more sensible.
4. This documentary is worth all the efforts put into making it mostly because it solves the requirements of both a hardcore fan of the Doors or someone who has just lately been into this band. It solves the curiosity of a novice who is absolutely new to the various claims and facts that the documentary shows. At the same time, it is perfect for all those fans who know quite a lot about the band already and it helps to reaffirm their beliefs and facts.
What you may dislike:
1. Although, the whole Documentary is a very well researched one, it is rather superficial in the various claims. In fact, there is no huge revelation made by the documentary about the band.
2. There will be nothing that you may find you didn't know already about. We already know about almost everything that the documentary shows.
3. It is because of the fact that the it doesn't help in adding anything new to our knowledge of The Doors that we are left wanting for more information so as to justify our viewing of the movie. We don't get anything more than a reaffirmation of the already known facts regarding the band.
Verdict: This documentary should be given a watch for a simple fact that it deals well with the archival footage of a highly sensational band, The Doors.
