Chace Crawford

is a drug dealer to wealthy teens. He purchases drugs from Curtis Jackson, another dealer. During the birthday party of Esti Ginsburg, Chace hears about his cousin Rory Culkin's death. By mistake, he gets into the room where Curtis, and his client Emily Meade, were making love. Disturbed Curtis takes out the pistol and shoots Chace. Chace recognizes the gun as his brother's pistol. A shoot out happens between Curtis and Billy Magnussen, Chace's cousin, where many of them are killed.
ANALYSIS:Â
The director stuffs many characters within the duration of 94 minutes. Unfortunately, they do not get enough space to breathe, and the term 'character development' goes missing.The director also terribly misses to gift us the suspense, that the book version of the movie provided to its readers. This movie is more of many subplots knitted together. The character sketch is poor and uninteresting. Adult roles like that of Curtis looks bland as well. It is tough to find sympathy for the characters, who literally wastes everything that are with them. The logic for most of the scenes is stupid that it is hard to digest.Â
STAR PERFORMANCES:Â
Crawford seems to have been miscast for the role of the protagonist. The rest of the cast are mere to fill the screen.

revolves around the movie as an only symbol of purity. Crawford's scenes with Curtis are not much convincing. Though these characters are talented, their talent goes unrecognized due to their weak roles.Â

The characterization of the casts could have been done better.Â
