The flick Underworld: Awakening that was originally titled as Underworld: New Dawn is an American flick that hit screens in 2012. The flick was made in 3D and 2D, and the flick is intertwined with action and horror. The movie is a direction by Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein. It is a sequel to the serious of movies titled Underworld Film Series.

makes an appearance as Selene. Also, there are new appearances in the movie. The movie shooting commenced in 2011 in the city of Vancouver situated in British Columbia. Kate Beckinsale has made a comeback after appearing in the first two movies in the series, and she is great relief to fans as she makes the appearance. Kate does Selene, who battles against vampires. Kate bolts out of prison, and to her surprise, she finds out that humans have traced both the vampires and Lycans. And, a war ensues to wipe out these clans from Earth.
Humans call it the Great Purge. The population of both vampires and Lycans is almost wiped out. Now, only a handful of Lycans and vampires are left. Also, Kate realizes much to her shock that her lover Michael had died. Kate realizes that a few existent lycans and also humans are close on her trail. There is one Dr. Jacob Lane done by Stephen Rea, who plots against her. In due course, she teams up with vampires and Detective Sebastian, who have a dirty past. Finally, she accomplishes the mission.
Selene is the same reticent and cold character that she was in the predecessors to the movie. It would not be a mistake to add little of warmth to Selen’s look, but her face is devoid of emotions. The movie has a unique style to it, but there is little of mettle in the movie. The background looks spooky enough to scare the fans. But still, only fans who have watched the preceding movies could make out anything from the movie.
With every sequel, the plot seems to go awry. But the actions scenes in this latest sequel are worthwhile. Taking into account the movie’s attributes, it is not for those who are looking out for some intelligent plot. But, it would not leave anybody disappointed if he or she is looking out for some action.
