It’s an American intense drama. The film tells the story of a father, who travels overseas to recover the body of his son, who dies while heading towards the “El Camino de Santiago.”

Plot-

Thomas Avery ( Martin Sheen Martin Sheen is one of the most well-known actors >> Read More... ), an American Ophthalmologist, goes to France in search for the body of his dead adult son, Daniel (Emilio), killed on the way to El Camino de Santiago, Spain. Thomas, after collecting the ashes of his son, decides to wander the ancient spiritual trail where his son died.

He comes in contact with other people around the world during the walk. They all look for greater meaning to their lives. He finds himself connected with three other pilgrims.

As the pilgrims travel the Camino, they meet with two other French men and one elder priest. With all this Thomas feels the presence of his son, Daniel.

During this journey, they faced many difficulties like young Romani steals Thomas’s backpack. But the father of young Romani drags him back with an apology to Thomas.

With Daniel Backpack, Thomas travels to another destination after El Camino de Santiago.

Analysis-

Director Emilio Estevez directs a road trip with many twists. The characters are all walking, and the film is only growing stronger and stronger. The tightly written script is the soul of this movie.

Star performance-

Martine, as Thomas, steals the show with his incredible acting depicting all the emotions and expressions. As the lead of the film, he takes off the movie.

What’s there-

The director captured France beautifully. The surroundings of the walk of pilgrimage are well created. The director also tries to show the morals, which are valued in an individual’s life.

What’s not there-

Supporting characters could have done better to come out of the movie.

Verdict-

A must watch movie that’s worth spending money on.
