A battle between a beautiful princess and an evil queen.
Plot:
Queen Eleanor and King Magnus of the Tabor kingdom, give birth to a baby girl. Eleanor dies, and Magnus defends the invasion by demonic glass soldiers and wins. He falls in love with the defeated troop's leader, Ravenna, and marries her.
Ravenna kills Magnus on their wedding night and ascends the throne of Tabor kingdom. Snow White is captured by Ravenna's brother, Finn, in the castle for years. Snow White's friend William, and his father Duke Hammond tries to rescue her but eventually fails.
Ravenna is a witch, who extracts the youth from the people in her kingdom, and ruins their life. She also gets to know that she has to kill snow white to attain the immortal life. Snow white somehow escapes into the dark forest. Ravenna brainwashes Eric, a huntsman, to track and bring her back, and also assures that she will bring his dead wife back to life.
But later, Eric comes to know that it is fake, and supports snow white. Meanwhile, Ravenna disguises herself as William and tries to kill Snow White by forcing her to feed on a poisoned apple. Her attempt gets foiled by William and his men. Snow White escapes with the help of Eric, William and the dwarves whom she meets on the way. She wages war against Ravenna with the help of William and kills her. This is not exactly a fairy tale like its animated version.

.' Theron perfectly picturized the role of Ravenna, the beautiful evil witch. Her customized thorny crown goes well with each and every costume of her. Greig Fraser's work in the field of cinematography is brilliant. The rusting castles, marshlands gave us the feel of reality. The CGI effects were so good. The creative imagination behind certain scenes, where flower petal turns into a butterfly, were so graceful. The dwarves need a special appreciation for their performance, CGI works and makeup as well. Wish they could have got more screen presence.
Verdict:
A good movie for the young and the teen demographics.
