The events are related to sandlot baseball. The movie is about how poverty-stricken Mexican boys emerge successful in championship outside their country.
Plot: The plot revolves around a group of Mexican boys living below the poverty line. But beyond the odds that the boys face in life, they derive pleasure out of sandlot baseball. These boys are motivated by baseball coach Cesar who is thrown out of the league due to discrimination. The boys do not have enough amenities for the practice of the game. Their parents do not approve their involvement in the game. There is widespread bias against the boys. With such odds as these, the boys cross the borderline of Mexico into America. In the America Soil, these Mexicans win the game. They win a place in the history, and their lives are changed forever. The movie proves to be a soul-stirring one. It brings out the determination that arises out of faith. The boys in the movie are undeterred in spite of the overwhelming odds. In some places, the bathrooms are separated, and there is racial segregation prominent in transports. The boys have to put up with the jeering tone as they overhear passing comments.
Audiences can make out what scene is going to unfold next. The movie sticks to some usual formulae, and some scenes send yawns across the audiences. The movie is not a classic in any way. But still, the characters are adorable and cute. And, the movie has got a solid plot.
Verdict: The movie The Perfect Game is an entertainer with deep sentiments in it. The movie is worth watching during the weekend.
