An eight-year-old girl David Glatzel was possessed by a spirit in 1981. Ed and Lorraine, the demonologists, did the exorcism procedures in front of Glatzel’s family members along with her sister Debbie’s boyfriend and Father Gordon. While doing the exorcism, Arne, Debbie’s boyfriend, asks the spirit to leave Glatzel and enter his body. The spirit did the same, and Arne got a heart attack and was admitted to a hospital. Ed witnesses it and informs Lorraine. They inform the police, and they warn Debbie about this. Soon, Arne kills Bruno Sauls, his landlord, by stabbing. After getting a clue, the demonologists visit a priest to get more details. Soon, they start to investigate the case, and they get shocking information. Who possessed Glatzel? Why did Arne invite the spirit? What happened to Debbie? All the questions are answered in the rest of the film.
