The story is set in 1977 where paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren visit Enfield to help the Hodgson family who is troubled by evil occurrences.

Plot: The movie begins with Ed and Lorraine Warren recording the facts of the incident of the Amityville house killings and the hauntings which followed. Lorraine has a vision where she is troubled by a demonic nun, and she witnesses her husband, Ed’s sudden fatal encounter with the demon spirit. After some time, nearly about a year later, the couple visit the Hodgson family in Enfield, where the second child out of four children happens is possessed by the spirit of the former resident of their house, Bill Wilkins, who was murdered there.

When after some investigation and yet another vision by Lorraine, when the Warren’s have given up hope of helping the Hodgson family and are leaving them to their fate, Lorraine arrives at the conclusion that it is not the spirit of Bill Wilkins at work but, an even more, sinister, demonic nun who is behind the supernatural happenings. Whether Ed and Lorraine successfully condemn the evil one to hell or does the demon get the better of them is what the horror in ‘Conjuring 2’ will unfurl.

Analysis: The master of the genre of horror, director James Wan, proves his mettle yet again with the ‘Conjuring 2- The Enfield Poltergeist’. With its most realistic horror visuals and the chilling script, the movie is set to be a favorite for all the lovers of spooky tales of paranormal events. The storyline is a brilliant ghost story and is nothing less than the first movie, ‘ The Conjuring’. The minute flaws if any are covered by the brilliant direction of James Wan. Star Performances: Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as the Warren couple do wonder. They portray the characters of real-life ghost hunters and paranormal activities expert Ed and Lorraine Warren to perfection. They display the accurate amount of fear and subtle attitude in their acting. They share a beautiful onscreen chemistry which gives a personal and emotional touch to the role and also helps the audience relate to them as the actual Warren couple. Madison Wolfe is exceptional in the role of Janet, the possessed child and does justice to her role by displaying the perfect combination of fear for herself as well as the demonic element possessing her. Her performance is laudable.

What’s There: The horror is exceptional, stupendous, and exceeds all expectations. The movie is nothing less than the prequel. The acting is such which will add to the excitement in ‘Conjuring 2.'
