John Rambo is living in Arizona and he is feeling peaceful. He works on a ranch and stays with Maria, a family friend. He is contented with what he gets through his ranch work. All on a sudden, Maria’s granddaughter Gabrielle, a teenager is getting kidnapped. Rambo comes to know about a sex trafficking gang that works between the US and Mexico border. An independent journalist, Carmen helps him in this regard. Now, Rambo has to find out his friend’s granddaughter and also the wicked people, who involved in the scam. Did he succeed? Watch the film to know the rest.
Sylvester has done a good job, as ever. Sergio Peris Mencheta plays a menacing villain and impresses. The rest of the stars had done justice to the given roles.
The director establishes the characters well in the first half. Rambo’s relationship with Maria and her granddaughter are depicted well. The girl gets kidnapped for an act of revenge and the rest of the plot is easily predictable. Carmen and Rambo scenes should have been made better. The film has the old-style Rambo fights that bring nostalgic moments. But, it might not look appropriate for the current-gen action movie lovers. However, it is predicted that this might be the last franchise of the Rambo series, as the title reveals. If that’s the fact, the Rambo fans might feel emotional, a bit. However, the character development should have been better. The veteran actor has done neat action sequences even at this age.
What’s Not There?
Although the film might impress the Rambo series lovers, it might not impress the next-gen action lovers. However, it is watchable, once!
