The French version of the movie brings before our eyes the killing of creatures beneath the ocean. Also, the original version is twenty minutes longer than the American movie. Most of the Earth’s surface is covered by water. There are astronauts who explore the vast cosmos, and they seem to know much about the vast universe. But much less is known about the oceans. The oceans have helped in the formation of life on earth, but the human species has done nothing to retain the life below the surface of the sea. As the movie makers explore the life beneath the oceans, there are shocking revelations about the humans endangering the aquatic species. The camera eyes follow a variety of aquatic creatures and the strange, different world in which they reside. So as to provide complete entertainment, the directors took up the Herculean task for seven years. The directors had to visit some locales and had to wait patiently for the creatures to surface on the waters. The video recordings of the creatures run to almost 500 hours, and lots of effort was put into the editing of the footages. Astonishment comes near explaining the reaction of audiences to scenes in the movie. The camera has very carefully captured the lives without scaring them away.
The most difficult task for the director was to capture the blue whales. But, repeated attempts for about seven months reaped the fruit, and the scene came out wonderfully. The noteworthy setback in the movie is narration by Pierce Brosnan, which distracts audiences from the visual wonder. The scenes would do all the explanation, and a narration is unnecessary.
Verdict: With bite into the snack items and sip on cool drinks, the movie is the right choice for anybody to spend the weekend.
