.' The director's desperation to generate big laughs among the audience, let the whole movie down. The script lies mostly on the running and chasing of the protagonists. We will end up spending most of the time wondering when the scenes will make some sense. Though McCarthy is a criminal, she is portrayed as a lonely soul instead.
STAR PERFORMANCES: McCarthy's performance was decent. She was not made to act wackily, and her role was more appealing. She is better in the second half, after changing her attire and style completely. Both Bateman and McCarthy shared a good chemistry when they cracked some adult jokes. The duo tried their best to spend away the time given to them by the director.
WHAT'S THERE? Talents like Genesis Rodriguez and Tip Harris do a role in the movie. Unfortunately, they are under utilized.
WHAT'S NOT THERE? The script is not much impressive. A failed attempt, to make a movie with lots of laughs. Bateman's performance was pathetic in this movie. Jokes are flat, and the plot is simply boring. The crew failed badly to include emotions into a bad and unbelievable narrative.
VERDICT: A weak base with strong objects on it. It lets down the objects completely.
