Plot

Caleb Smith is an engineer. He has a keen interest in programming. He is an employee at a company named Blue book. One day, after winning a bet from his colleagues, he gets invited to his boss’s home. Nathan Bateman, the ceo of Bule Book, has a big house and lives with a mute servant Kyoko and another servant, Ava who is an artificial humanoid robot. He assigns Caleb a task to talk and connect with Ava, to test her consciousness. Ava had a robotic body but a human face. During this task Caleb grew close to Ava. She also expressed her connection with the outside world and romantic intentions with Caleb. Ava would usually cut power to have a private conversation with Caleb with Nathan’s intervention. One day, Ava tells him how badly Nathan’s intentions are with her. He grew uncomfortable with Nathan’s drinking habit and narcissism. He would encourage Nathan to drink until he passes out. Then he talks to Ava.

A few days later same thing happened. Instead of locking doors on power outrage, Caleb changed the setting to unlocking doors. One night, Nathan pretended to sleep. That night Ava, Caleb and Kyoko planned to run away. When they tried to run, Nathan hit Caleb and made him unconscious. Kyoko attacked Nathan but he kicked her and damaged her body. On finding the right moment, Ava stabbed Nathan with a knife and runs away, leaving Caleb unconscious and locked in Nathan’s house.
