Asghar Farhadi was born on 7th May 1972 in the city of Homayunshahr in the province of Isfahan, Iran. He is married to Parisa Bakhtavar, who is a television and film director by profession. Parisa and Asghar are the parents of Saaghar and Sarina Farhadi, also an actress by profession. He is an alumnus of the University of Tehran. He did his Bachelors in Dramatic Arts from here.
