It turns out that the rumors were cent per cent true. While nothing is official yet, it is confirmed that Ranveer Singh is indirectly making his Telugu debut with this multilingual project.
Not much is official about the plot, except that it is set in pre Independence India, and that Ranveer Singh’s character will have some darker shades as well. The movie is tentatively titled ‘Rakshas’, and it would be interesting to see if it is a part of the iconic Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe.

However, on the other hand, this collaboration is a much needed relief, who is currently going through a career crisis. While ‘Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahani’ may have ‘recovered’ its costs, it contributed nothing in restoring the reputation of Ranveer Singh, who is yet to see a clean box office success since 2020. There are also rumors that the much talked about ‘Don 3’ is on the verge of being unceremoniously shelved, though nothing has been confirmed as yet.
