Title Cards Should Have Regional Languages – Prakash Javadekar

Nowadays, the title cards bear English in a lot of TV shows. Prakash Javadekar, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, had stated that the title cards for the TV programs including the TV serials should be in their respective regional languages. Most of the channels display the titles of the serials and shows and names of the cast and crew of the serials in English. This is not entertained and hereafter, they should use the regional languages along with English, stated Prakash Javadekar. Only then, the regional languages should be developed, stated Prakash. He also said that this is applicable to the cinemas too. The orders had been sent officially to various states.
