Actor Suriya, his father Sivakumar and brother Karthi donated 25 lakhs to the Chief Minister’s Public Fund to support the victims of the horrendous Chennai rains. The humanitarian act was even before last week’s rains, which turned out to be the worst and inundated many parts of the city.
Suriya’s Agaram Foundation is well known for its various philanthropic work in support of the poor and the destitute, it is now conducting a free medical camp at Ethiraj College, Egmore. The camp will be held for three days from 7th to 9th December, between 9 and 5 a.m.
The sick and diseased can avail of the treatment. TT injections will also be available for people involved in relief operations across the city as they will also be prone to diseases due to rain.
