Following the corona outbreak, the Indian government announced a lockdown. So, the film and TV Series shootings are halted. As the lockdown continues for 21 days, many serial makers couldn’t film the serials and as a result, they are paused temporarily. Many old serials are brought in and this made the serial fans go nostalgic. Sun TV’s super hit serial Metti Oli is back now. It was directed by “M Thirumurugan,” who had also directed a couple of films including Em Magan.
Metti Oli is the tale of a father and his five daughters. "Gayathri," Kaveri, Vanaja, Umamaheshwari and Revathi Priya played the sisters and Delhi Kumar played their father. Bose Venkat, “Chetan,” “Rajkanth,” Thirumurugan, “Sanjeev” and Sindhu were also on the cast. It was telecasted from 2002 – 2005 and impressed the audiences. So, the audience will once again enjoy their favorite serial with their favorite stars. Similarly, Ramya Krishnan, “Seema” and “Vijayakumar” starrer "Thangam" is also re-telecasted.
