," the popular TV host cum actress, is found hanging in a hotel room in Chennai today. Chitra started her career as an anchor in 2013 with Sattam Solvadhu Enna on Makkal TV. She debuted as an actress with the comedy TV series Chinna Papa Periya Papa on Sun TV. She had been playing in Pandian Stores, a TV series with Sujith and Stalin. It is heard that the actress returned to the hotel room after completing her portions for the serial. The hotel manager has informed the police at 3:30 am on 9th December 2020 about the actress' death. Before a few hours of her death, Chitra had shared her pictures on her social media page and it is shocking for the people in the film and TV industry, fans and her family.
Chitra resided with her family in Chennai Kotturpuram. Recently, her marriage was fixed with a businessman. The reason for her death is not yet known. She played in Saravanan Meenatchi Season 2,
