A few months back, we heard that a part in Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple, where they had the shops, had a fire accident. After using proper fire extinguishing techniques, the fire was put off and later, the building was set right. Now, a fire accident at Sri Rangam temple’s Vasantha Mandapam comes as a shock to the devotees. It is heard that the fire torch lit in the temple is the reason for the fire accident. However, the fire is put off soon. Yesterday, Samayapuram temple elephant killed the mahout inside the temple premises. The series of negative incidents in the temples have shocked the public.
