After Maitreyan and ten other MPs had filed a petition to the Election Commission stating the illegal appointment of Sasikala as the general secretary of the party, the EC sent a notice to Sasi, who has been in Parappana Agrahara Prison after being convicted in the DA case. She was asked to send a reply regarding the issue within 28th February and if she fails to submit before the said date, the EC will take necessary action. But, a reply was sent by TTV Dinakaran on behalf of Sasikala. It is found that the reply didn’t have the signature of Sasikala. Now, the EC announced that Dinakaran’s reply is void and it should have been replied by Sasikala. However, the election commission has extended the time and the reply should be submitted by Sasikala before 10th March.
