The Producers’ Council had announced a strike that the films will not be released from 1st March, as the digital service providers charge more. Following that they arranged for peace talks with the digital service providers. Even after the talks crossed two phases, they didn’t come to a conclusion. The third phase talks were held in Bangalore today and it is heard that they couldn’t shake hands as the talks failed. So, it is heard that the Producer Council would announce the strike, officially. The joint action committee announced that the Digital Service Providers initially compromised and said that they would reduce the charges by 15%, but later they reversed their idea and said that they could only reduce the charges by 9%. So, no more new releases from 1st March.
