Listen to "Negative Role For Mysskin In Savarakathi"
A clean U certificate from the Censor Board is mandatory to get the Entertainment Tax exemption given by the TN Government. 'Mysskin's “Tharkappu” starring Shakthi Vasudevan and 'Samuthirakani' has got a U/A certificate and this makes it impossible for the film to get the 30% tax exemption. At the film’s audio launch, Mysskin observed, “This is becoming a big issue for the film producers. Creators tend to lose their independence because of such regulations. A film gets an “A” certificate, if it has bad words or violence. A common complaint is that, cinema has become unfit for children. Do not bring children to theatres as cinema is a medium for adults. Let children watch cartoons or films like ‘My Dear Kutti Chathan’. My next film has the horror element and it will get an “A” certificate.” The 'Bala' produced Mysskin directed “Pisasu” got a U/A certificate; but became a success at the Box Office. The movie “Savarakathi” with the script by Myskin, also sees Mysskin doing a negative role and the film will get an “A” rating, for sure. But it appears that Mysskin was talking about the next film in his direction and not about “Savarakathi”.
