Marxist Communist Party has started a protest today. Th campaign will continue until 6th of this month. With the caption, “எழுவோம் தமிழகமே” that means Rise Up Tamilnadu, they have started the campaign. “Tamilnadu is suffering from a historic drought. More than two hundred farmers committed suicide as the rain failed. 100 days work scheme has been temporarily locked and Ration shops are not supplying the essentials at the right time. So, unemployment and poverty exist in the state. The central government led by Narendra Modi didn’t allocate any drought relief funds to the state. At present, the hydrocarbon issue and the NEET exams increased the fear. Brinda Karat, the council member of Marxist Communist, would participate in the campaign that will be held on 6th March,” says Ramakrishnan, the Tamilnadu Secretary of Marxist Communist Party.
