Marxist Communist Party Condemns Cutting Of Trees In Tiruvannamalai!

Tiruvannamalai is a temple city. In the foothills of Tiruvannamalai, there are lots of trees, which are of medicinal importance. Near the Sona River, there is a forest area that has, Turinji, Karungali, Aththi, Kadappai, Vakkari, Kaatuva, Velungu, Avanji, Nilavel and Karunkonnai trees. These trees are medicinal trees and they attract the travelers. The trees save the hottest city Tiruvannamalai from the scorching sun. To make a stay place for the travelers, the commissioner of religious endowments has ordered to cut down 545 trees. The green tribunal opposed to cut down the trees. But, the commissioner didn’t respect the order by the Tribunal and acted on his own and this condemnable, says G Ramakrishnan. A protest will be held regarding this tomorrow and Marxist Communist Party extends its support to all the protests that are for the welfare of the people, says the Marxist Communist leader.
