Rajesh Lakhani, the Election Commissioner of Tamilnadu, announced that there are no chances to use the paper ballot and only the electronic voting machines will be used, even though the constituency has more than eighty contestants. The election will be held on 12^th April 2017. Today is the last day for withdrawing the nomination petition and eight independent candidates withdrew their nomination and they are:
